Microstar Digital LED

Home videotape systems (VCRs) are developed in Japan by Sony (Betamax) and Matsushita (VHS)

1975 Microstar Digital LED.

The LED was invented in the 60s, and made possible what we would recognize as a digital watch. The first Digital watch without any moving parts was the Pulsar, unfortunately the LED display consumed a lot of power and even the display lit for only 1.25 seconds at a time, an LED watch needed two batteries to run for just six months.
